Liz Lisa Style Short Skirt Tutorial

November 29th, 2010

This is another altering project which is similar to the last article i posted couple days ago. As i was looking through my closet to search for outdated clothes, i came across this cute medium length skirt. I cannot remember when was the last time i wear it out so that is the sign it is time for an update. One of my favorite new Japanese trend and brand (Liz Lisa) that has very similar style and design to the skirt that i own, so i decided to DIY and give this old skirt a new spin.

By the way, Liz Lisa is an extremely expensive brand which started a couple years ago and became super popular in multiple Asian countries like Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. One skirt can easily price at 50 to 60 US dollars. So even thought i love the fancy and feminine Japanese brand, when it come to spending that much money on one piece of clothing, i still have major hesitation.

What better way to demonstrate and use you design and sewing skill than to make or alter your clothes into a similar style that look expensive but really didn’t cost you a penny extra. Besides the original skirt, we will also need a scissor, some sewing tools and a elastic band. My skirt doesn’t look bad so all i am trying to do is to make it into a shorter length, more updated and cawaii looking style so i can wear it more often than now.
