More Etsy Decoden Stores Review

January 30th, 2012

As you all may know already, I am a huge fan of decoden art. After hours of searching for the best and cutest online stores I can find. I will try to organize a list to share these shopping experiences with you guys. It’ll be a great guidelines for future shopper.

The stores I shopped from so far are all on the Etsy website. I like browsing there because the sellers are from all over the world so I was able to get different items and still get the best deals.

Generally the seller’s location will determine the shipping time for the products. I live in USA so the purchase from seller in the states generally take about 1 full week for it to arrive. I did purchased from Chinese seller before and the shipping time can take up to 2-4 weeks so keep that in mind while you are shopping.

Another tip is try to buy more items at one time in stead of multiple checkouts. This not only shorten the shipping time, it will also save you money on shipping cost. Most stores have an initiate cost for shipping for the first item and cheaper compounded extra item cost for the rest of your order.

Back in April 2011, I did 2 more purchases on 2 different Etsy stores and again was really pleased with the transactions. Both seller offered reasonable prices and a wide range if choices on their stocks. Unfortunately one of the stores is no longer available at this time but I still want to share these store reviews with you all.

First store is HappyBaby822 (the store no longer exist so the link is not working anymore). The seller is from Shanghai China if I remember correctly. They offer a wide range of items and color choices. I was able to purchase a lot of bows and girly cabochons along with some Hello Kitty design parts. All the listing in store are USD $3 with a flat low rate shipping (USD $2 per order). At the end I purchased 17 items and spend only $53. I was super excited about the order because the shipping was fast and everything was in amazing quality. Too bad they are out of service at this point because I will definitely purchase from them again.

The Items:

Second store is accstation, it’s owned by a seller from Hong Kong (which happens to be my home town). I like shopping in this store because it offer a lot of decoden parts, from pearls to cabochon (plastic parts), even metal pieces. Pretty much anything you are looking for could be found there. There are almost 500 items on the listing at all times and the prices are fairly reasonable which is between USD $3-5 for most set.

Each cabochon set’s quantity and size information is clearly on the listing web page and also in the item title. The best part is this seller charges a flat rate shipping regardless of how many items you purchase from them in one order. This is a huge plus for all buyers because it is money saving if you buy everything at once or if you do a join purchase with friends.

Shipping time is not super speedy but we are expecting the package from Hong Kong so 2-4 weeks is pretty much standard. Items were well packaged and the quality are amazing for the price I paid. Seller even attached one free flower item with my order which was unexpected but nice.

The only bad thing I will say about this transaction is one of my items was listed incorrectly in the quantity so I immediately message the seller regarding the missing items. Seller apologize and promise me a refund but the money has not shown in my account until this day so I was a little disappointed. I send one more message to the seller back in September but still haven’t heard back from them yet.

One more tip before I leave, my storage solution for these small plastic parts are either using small food storage containers or a jewelry organizer. Dollar shop and Arts & Craft stores carry these items and sell them usually for a very low price. I got mine for under 2 dollars.
